Just in case you are not yet ready to go totally nude, a great option is to add in black. Not only is it a nice play off the nude but it can add a hard edge to what can be a very feminine pallet. It’s also a look that is very workable for any situation.
I wasn’t afraid to go totally nude to the LMFF runway show last week but opted to wear what is a really, and I do mean REALLY short dress as a shirt over some black skinny jeans and was quite happy with the look.
It’s also a great way to not have to worry about accessories because every girl has at least one black handbag and pair of heels! Again this is a great combination for working the high and low price points of your wardrobe, utilising black leggings or tights to help with the trend. I really love pulling on a big Ralph Lauren nude coloured jumper with a pair of leggings and ballet flats on lazy autumn weekends. It’s a look I can either stay in with or not be afraid of being seen out in public in.
Eva Mendes does the nude and black to lady-like perfection in Venice.
Check out these great vintage items if you want to get inspired without spending too much money. This great jumper/sweater from Bitter Root Vintage is less than $40 and would also work for the Deco Trend that is popular now.
