Rock Chic – Vintage Style

Build on your Rock chic by adding items that play out the leather and lace trend. I found all of these online. As you probably know by now, I love vintage shopping and vintage items give you a great chance to own something that little bit different. A good way to express your individual style – own things with some history!

I’ve just pulled a few of the hundreds upon thousands of options but I think any of these have a bit of a Rock Chic vibe.

A great look from our friends at A Little Vintage Story – This little lace shirt/dress is too lovely but when paired with leather it goes from sweet to chic. I wouldn’t have thought of pairing with brown leather until I saw what our clever friends at A Little Vintage Story did with this look. I have to say, I love it!

Vintage Pumps – Black Lace Balenciaga – do I have to say any more??

Vintage Red Leather Jacket – there are so many reasons I love this jacket – it’s vintage, the leather looks so soft, it has a little bit of a military/rock thing going on – I’d probably pair it with a white t-shirt, and black skinny jeans. Of course a few bits of black and silver chunky jewelry and some fierce black heels and a black bag. That would allow the jacket to be the star.

Lace Corset Dress – okay, so it’s a little Madonna – like a virgin. But would this really be a tribute to leather and lace if I hadn’t gone there? It could still be cute with a leather bomber jacket, biker boots and a great bag, maybe all done in white or gray to keep away from the witch look.

Don’t you think?

Vintage Green and Black lace cocktail dress – this is lace done a little more classic. It has a bit of a Mad Men vibe going on and with some leather heels and bag it could stay classy.

I’ve saved my favourite three for last!

Pierre Cardin handbag – The colour could work with all the pastels going on this season and certainly the leather could add a bit of edge to girlie sweet looks. And if it hasn’t sold by the time my shopping fast is finished…It’s MINE!

Vintage white lace dress – Love the crisp freshness of this dress. It reminds me a little of the short white one in my wardrobe that I used in the Rock Chic looks I put together earlier in the week. What I find nice about this one is the longer length. I would definitely match it with my black leather bomber jacket and some black biker boots to change from the sweet look that it has. This would be a piece you could wear a million ways, which makes it a great investment!

Black Suede Pumps – They are a classic heel and style but the nail head detail give them the needed edge for the Rock Chic Look. I think they would go perfectly with my high school reunion dress from the post earlier in the week. Unfortunately, they are not my size so I hope one of you love them and purchase them.

There is so much great vintage stuff out there, just waiting for us to be clever enough to add it to our wardrobes!!
