Jeanious – Vintage Accessories

Finishing off this week of denim is a little like finishing off styling your outfit. We must consider accessories and you know I can’t resist looking for something different and unique that is vintage. Some of these stick a little more to being denim than others, but certainly all of them could be great additions to the accessories closet!

The Camera Bag – Okay, it really is a camera bag but don’t you think it would make a cool handbag?! I love this bag and would have it in a heartbeat just for its uniqueness. I think it is the kind of accessory everyone will admire, think you are cool for having and secretly wish they had for themselves!

The Denim Bucket Bag – If you like your handbags slightly more traditional – this bucket bag is a cute option. I like the patterned denim and tooled leather. It gives it a bit of a rock chic or cowgirl feel and could work well with the boho/gypsy looks too. It’s another one of those denim items that would look great with a floral dress and sandals for summer. Or what about floral print pants, solid shirt and blazer (sleeves pushed up), great wedges and this bag = fun weekend look. If you were heading away for the weekend you could squeeze a few necessities into this bag so you only need a small weekend bag for travel.

Steel-toed Denim – So maybe they aren’t steel-toed but you have to admit they are a little like my current lust worthy shoe crush by Louis Vuitton with those metallic toes. And at $19 compared to $1250, you could buy into a few other trends for the season…and next!

The Jewelry – Pretty well anything made of lapis or turquoise is going to be a great match with your denim as the colours and tones are very similar. I like these earrings because they are old and have some personality and they are drop earrings which are so popular right now. Another accessory that I would gladly add to my own collection.

Again, I could have gone on for days with the accessories, I’m just hoping some of these inspire you to either have a new look at pieces you own or get you to consider thinking of vintage when you want to find reasonably priced pieces to add to your wardrobe.

Do you have a vintage piece that always comes out when you pull on your favourite denim?
