My Lust Have List Haul – The Denim Jacket

The next item from My Lust Have List Haul to share with you is the Denim Jacket.

I had budgeted $100 for this item and got it for $6.99! So it was definitely one of my biggest bargains. Even though I had researched lots of options and many that were really affordable, I just couldn’t resist picking up this denim jacket from a local Thrift Shop.

You would be hard pressed to go into any thrift shop and not find a couple of denim jacket options and the price just can’t be beat!

Considering the original True Religion inspiration was about $300…I think I did okay.

My version is not quite as distressed but give me time. I’m sure I will wear it enough to get far more than my 7 bucks out of it and it will become more distressed!

This is going to be a great asset to my wardrobe.

Denim on Denim Street Style – This first look is a denim on denim look using the denim jacket and white denim pants. With the addition of my vintage paisley shirt, black handbag and white metal capped toe shoes – all from this haul – this look is very similar to what you see many fashionistas wearing in their Street Style posts. I added my big white watch and pearl and beaded necklace (both from Hong Kong) to play up the white. It’s a great look for getting around town, some shopping and coffee with the bestie.

Denim Does Autumn – I like the autumnal shades of this look. You’ll recall I have a huge passion for Tangerine Tango (all things orange) and think that orange, blue and camel make for great colour combinations. Here’s just another example of that. For this look I have used the camel with metallic thread jumper – purchased from another Thrift Shop (St Vinnies), my burnt orange skinny jeans, the new gold statement necklace, one of the vintage scarves from this haul, a stack of brown, gold and ivory coloured bracelets and the Jessica Simpson wedges from TJ Maxx. Again a great outfit for getting out and about or casual dinner and a movie.

70s Inspired Denim – It’s a bit boho, a little Coachella and a whole lot of casual. This third look has the denim jacket and the same camel coloured jumper as the previous look but the styling of this look has gone even more relaxed. The printed maxi skirt, brown leather sack-style handbag, brown felt hat and massive mustard coloured cork-heeled wedges bring this look right back to the 70s! Add in the long beaded necklace, a stack of neutral and gold bracelets and huge HUGE gold earrings and the look is complete.

I’m really pleased with this Denim Jacket from My Lust Have List Haul. I hope I don’t wear it out too soon. Maybe I should start checking out the thrift shops for another!

What’s your favourite way to style your denim jacket?
