Did you know that July is “Blue”berry Month?
It’s a good thing! Because I’m pretty sure there will be a lot going on here in my little blogosphere that works right into the “blue”berry palette in the next 31 days.
And what a beautiful palette it is! Great neutrals, silver-grey and taupe, a little cafe’ latte, and both a navy and ice blue. Great colours to wear here in the Southern Hemisphere during winter and lovely when done right for summer in the Northern Hemisphere.
Northern Hemisphere in Blue – This Aztec print skirt and cobalt blue shirt make a perfect pairing for summer. The print of the skirt is right on trend. Especially with prints and things tribal/native being so popular at this time. The cobalt blue is an amazing colour that adds a richness and sophistication to the look. I love the silver arm cuff. That is a bracelet that wants to make a statement!
Southern Hemisphere in Blue – How sweet is this little “blue”berry dress? Styled with the black belt and classic handbag then topped with the oversized jacket, is a great trans-seasonal look. If it had tights and boots it would be perfect for winter in the Southern Hemisphere.
Sweet “Blue”berry Layers – This layered look is perfect for the “blue”berry palette. Navy leggings, a white and blueberry coloured cow-skull printed shirt with a “blue”berry cardigan. Finished with silver-grey boots and silver accessories. Again this a great trans-seasonal look. It would be great for traveling between the South and North. Get on the plane in Melbourne dressed in this (it would be comfy and cozy on the plane), make sure you have a pair of navy or denim shorts and a pair of sandals in your handbag so when you arrive in California you can make the change. You’ll be looking hot in both hemispheres with absolutely no reason to be blue!
How would you work this palette and make sure that “Blue”berry Month was sweet for you?

It’s really cute isn’t it?!
I love the colours and that it is so versatile.
It can be casual or dressier if you want…which means it would get worn a lot and be worth the buy!
Cheers,
Laura

Gorgeous aztec skirt, pity it is so cold here in Sydney so lucky you have the warm weather. Funny I am so into navy and blue at the moment as well.

Katerina,
I’m near Melbourne so it is even colder here!
I’m just dreaming of the warm weather. 🙂
So many of my followers are in the Northern Hemisphere that I try to mix it up a bit.
Although next week I am going to spend a day or two just on “winter” knits because it has been SO cold!
The colour combination is classic so it’s good to see that it can be worn in any season.
Cheers,
Laura

Anna,
You probably won’t find an exact of this skirt but currently ASOS.com, RiverIsland.com and BooHoo.com are all carrying things similar at reasonable prices.

My pleasure!
I was attracted to the lovely colours in your tie-dyed shirt and then fell in love with your umbrella photo. 🙂
That skirt is amazing, I think if I could recreate that fabric there are about 100 people who would want that skirt!
