Stylish Ways to Wear the White T-Shirt on Holiday

I wanted to share with you some stylish ways to wear the white t-shirt on holiday. As you may recall, I have begun the planning stages for our trip to Spain and part of that is making sure I have the items in my wardrobe that will make the difference while on holiday.

You see, I like to pack light for two reasons, 1) I just hate lugging around the heavy bags and 2) I like to go with as little as possible so if I find lots of great stuff I can buy it and bring it back!

Which means when I go away, I like to have items that do double and triple duty! Which led me to thinking about how to style the humble white t-shirt and still look stylish for any number of situations.

Casual Holiday Look: Could there be a more perfect holiday look than this? A white t-shirt, colored jeans, a little cardigan tied-around the neck for cooler evenings and a comfy but cute pair of flats for sight-seeing. If the evening needs a little fancier look, slip on a higher pair of heels or a metallic or beaded pair of sandals and pop on the cardigan for a more polished look. Versatility and flexibility all around. The layers are great for spending the day away from the hotel and a big bag means you can carry your camera and any other necessities for the day.

Just a Little Dressy: I like the option of putting on a skirt while on holiday. And being able to wear it with lovely sandals and a white t-shirt is a great option when you want to be just that little bit dressy. Again this look has the added bonus of the optional cardigan. As a couple of the places we are staying at in Spain are on the coast, the evenings are likely to be cool enough to require the added layer. The cardigan can be around my neck or in the handbag during the day. Another cute and versatile holiday look.

Shorts & a T-shirt: I’m really not a shorts kind of girl but I find on holiday in warm climates I do take a pair if appropriate or I wear Capri pants. This is definitely a day look while away on holiday. If you packed a pair of metallic or lace shorts you could get away with wearing them in the evening or at night.

The Holiday Suit: The addition of a blazer over a plain white t-shirt and jeans turns a very casual look into a chic look that can go from day to evening in most tourist areas. This is a look that I love and is such a classic that I tend to wear it pretty regularly even at home so why not take what works and wear while on holiday?!

White T-shirt Chic: I know the shirt in this pic is not a t-shirt but the look could easily be done with one! And how fantastic is it?! Imagine, a long and lovely skirt worn with pretty sandals, a white t-shirt tied up (if you have the abs to show – down if you are me!), a blazer and some fun chunky jewelry. It could be worn while wandering around the cute and quaint countryside or any urban centre and it’s a look that could carry right on through to the night.

With all these stylish ways to wear the humble white t-shirt on holiday, I am sure a couple of them will find their way into my suitcase for our big trip!
