Summer Holiday Fashion 2012 – Look 1

As most of you know, I will be heading to Spain soon for a nice long holiday and as the weather will still be warm I have started organising my summer holiday fashion for 2012.

While I was in Melbourne for MSFW I couldn’t resist doing a little shopping. Of course it didn’t help that there were so many lovely things in my favourite colour…Orange! It just becomes too hard to resist.

Country Road Orange Palazzo Pants

I am really loving the flowing look and feel of palazzo pants for summer this year. So when I found this pair at Country Road, I knew I had to have them. They weren’t cheap but at $149 I think they are reasonable and do intend to get plenty of wear out of them.

So over the next couple of days I am going to show you these palazzo pants styled with a few other things I will be bringing on holiday so you can see that just because they are bright and attention-getting doesn’t mean they can’t be worn for different looks.

For this look I used a pink t-shirt that has orange trim and an orange band at the bottom, also from Country Road. Plus I highlighted with a bit of metallic in the bronze coloured sandals and clutch. The statement necklace would take this look from an appropriate day look to a night look and the stack of bracelets add a little more tribal flair. While on holiday it’s important to keep the curly hair under control and what better way to do that than with one of my orange and pink vintage scarves.

Pink and orange are going to continue as hot options for Spring and Summer 2012. Thank goodness because this is one trend I love.

It was a beautiful sunny day today so I sat out on the deck from our master bedroom for these photos and thanks to the fantastic holiday fashion and a little sunshine, I nearly felt like I was already on summer holiday for 2012.

What do you think? Is it too much orange? Is there even such a thing?!
