Summer Holiday Fashion 2012 – Look 3

Time to wrap-up this mini-series with a third and final look at my new orange palazzo pants.

Look 3 of the summer holiday fashion for 2012 built around these tangerine tango lovelies kind of came about by accident. I had purchased the top from Gorman shop down on Bridge Road Melbourne a few months ago. My thinking was that it would go well with khaki coloured Capri pants and my orange wedges. Plus as I have a crush on orange I was sure there would be a scarf or two that could complete the outfit.

Instead, after purchasing the palazzo pants, this is what I came up with.

I stuck with my favourite orange suede wedges for this look as I plan to take them to Spain with us. I also used the birthday scarf from Sarah, an orange beaded cuff, my rose gold watch and some rose gold earrings.

I love that not only do the pants have pockets but so does the top. All very casual and relaxed is what this look is about. However, even though it is relaxed it still looks chic enough to be wandering around the streets of Madrid or Seville. It’s really important to look good when you travel…at least to me. I hate the thought of looking like a tourist.

You’ll never see me in shorts, a t-shirt and running shoes when I am on holiday…heck…I don’t even wear that at home!

Part of what is nice about the looks I have shared these past three days is that they are built around one pair of pants and those pants are light-weight and don’t require ironing. That makes them perfect for holiday and holiday packing!

The shopping in Spain is supposed to be fantastic so I want to bring as little as possible so I can then fill my suitcase with new items from this great adventure.

There you have it. 3 Looks from one pair of pants all suitable fashions for summer holiday 2012.

Did you have a favourite? Would you style these tangerine tango palazzo pants differently?

Lovely color, and of course they are made for travel! So lightweight and easy to pack, a great worry-free choice for vacation.

      Exactly what I am thinking!
I just hope everyone isn’t tired of seeing them even before I go on holiday. I may have to think of a few more ways to wear them so the holiday snaps aren’t too boring. 🙂

Love that top and it looks great on you. The scarf is fantastic, too. You’re going to be a very chic tourist incognito.
Shorts and T-shirts have their place. If I’m cooking a big dinner or exercising that’s my uniform, merely because I don’t want my nice things covered in perspiration or food. Otherwise I tend to overdress for my area – where everyone is wearing shorts, T-shirts, and sneakers!

I’m usually over-dressed too, or at least dressed a little differently than most people in the town where I live.
When I first started traveling I learned that shorts, a t-shirt and runners were a sure fire way to be pegged not only as a tourist but also as an American tourist. Back in 2001/2002 that wasn’t exactly the safest way to travel. So I always try to dress a bit more european when I travel. Plus it means I get to buy nicer clothes for holidays! 🙂
