Please take the time to check out her blogs.
Our favorite fashionista is frolicking through Spain with the fashion mister. We know she’s having a good time, spotting new fashions, figuring her budget, and filling her suitcase with stylish finds. Fun!
I traveled to Spain myself in 1989, spending some time in beautiful Barcelona. There is much to see in the world. Travel is extraordinarily enriching.
I’m keeping our fashionista’s seat warm while she’s gone with a guest blog or two. Thanks for stopping by.
While she’s busy site-seeing and NOT running with the bulls, she’ll also have plenty of time to shop. I’ve been imagining some of her fabulous finds:
No one does shoes like Manolo Blanhnik, once described as a “footwear genius.” He’s one of the best known contemporary fashion designers in the industry. His signature shoes are seen on the streets of Europe and Hollywood, gracing many a famous ankle. At the start of Paris Fashion Week, they honored Blanhnik at the department store Printemps Haussmann celebrating “40 years of glamour”. I wonder if this pair will make it into her suitcase?
Newer on the scene, but equally fabulous, “Hakei was created in San Sebastián in 2003 as a shop specializing in leather accessories (footwear, bags, etc.). Its shop concept has now reached seven boutiques in just three years; five in Spain and two in Portugal. In 2006, its founders, the Bilbao family, who had been working in leather and fashion since 1946, opted to expand the brand’s scope, introducing their first clothes collection. Hakei launched a new shop interior and continued to expand with a philosophy which has turned it into one of the fastest growing women’s wear brands in Spain in recent years.” Do you think she’ll love this bag as much as I do?
I picked out this slip of a pink dress to compliment the fabulous handbag and shoes. I hope she likes it. It’s available as part of the “lux” line of clothes at a boutique in Pamplona, Spain.
“Situated in the beautiful and historic Northern Spanish city of Pamplona, MV Laspalas is a family run business that prides itself on a warm, welcoming atmosphere that places the customer at the heart of the experience. The collections chosen for the boutique are handpicked for their colourful, often whimsical qualities and sit in an interior that has a chic, bohemian ambience. The store is famed locally for its creative window displays that reflect both the humorous personality of the owners and the international nature of the fashion within.” Laura has her own personality to spare. She’ll look darling in this dress.
I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us on her return. In the meantime, please let me know what you think of this Spanish-inspired ensemble.
