No, its not a newspaper and it’s not a joke! As promised for this month of “An Affair to Remember” there is a theme and the colour side of my theme is in part about black and white and red all over! After all, it’s February. The month of love and romance. Most of the shops are decked out in these colours so why should I be embracing them as well?
The Look: You know by now that I am loving wearing white this summer and as summer will be ending soon, I thought it a good idea to get a little more wear out of my white denim. Plus they keep this look from being too dark by adding a bit of lightness to it. To work off the white, I have on a shirt I purchased from Target a couple of years ago with a very abstract floral print in red, black and white. Because I am not a fan of my arms and the shirt is sleeveless, I have added a little black shrug.
Layering the Look: Besides adding the shrug as a layer I have continued to layer the colours by wearing my big HUGE white shell earrings, black white and silver jewelry and even put on white socks under my ankle boots to show through the little cut-outs.
The Finishing Accessories: Naturally, I have my fabulous red Furla bag purchased while we were in Spain, seen here. I have had these ankle boots for a couple of years but haven’t worn them much because they are suede and because the heel can be a little difficult when navigating stairs all day at work. The good news is that part of my job is changing and I will actually have an office to work on a number of projects part-time. Which means these shoes will be getting out in public a fair bit more!
Do you have a passion for wearing these colours together? What do you think of my black and white and red all over look?

Those boots! It’s such a vibrant outfit but those boots are very edgy chic. I’m glad you’ll get to wear them more often 🙂

I adore red shoes!
Currently there are only a red pair of sling-back kitten heels, these ankle boots and a pair of cowboy boots in my wardrobe that are red but I get a lot of mileage out of them. 🙂

They are gorgeous!
I can walk okay in them but will keep them to days when I’m in the office, not running up and down the stairs. 🙂
