What perfect timing. Today is “Tweed Day” and as the weather cools here it is going to be trending like mad! Well, at least with me it is. While thinking about tweed, I realized that I have enough tweed items in my wardrobe that I could wear a different piece 14 days in a row.
However, I won’t do that to you all…well…not quite anyway!
Today, for “Tweed Day” I’ll just share with you some of my favourite inspiration shots from Pinterest.com.
With all this great inspiration, how can I not spend the next couple of days rejoicing in all things tweed?
Currently in my wardrobe about 5 tweed skirts, 4 pair of tweed pants (all Ralph Lauren), a tweed vest, a dress with a tweed skirt, and about 5 tweed jackets. Needless to say, I have options for tweed day!
Which look is your favourite? Do you have any suggestions on how you might like me to style tweed this month?

Love tweeds! They’re a bit warm for the weather where I’m at but I still have them in my closet 🙂

They are hard to resist!
I find a light tweed jacket is great to pull on over jeans and white t-shirt on a cool evening if you are heading out to dinner.
Totally changes your look. 🙂

I found a really great one at Zara last year.
Pretty sure it will make an appearance soon but I have also found some good ones at vintage shops.

Me too Paula!
Well not dress a client as I don’t have any to dress!
But I would wear them all!
Love tweed – it’s a real classic.

I love this inspirational post! Especially the bright tweed – it makes it perfect for spring too!
April 3rd, 2013 at 07:58
I agree Christy!
I’m not really an green fan but I love the green tweed skirt.
Of course I would probably wear it with a lavender button-down shirt to really make it look like spring!

loving the little green number and the long coat … I don’t have any tweed I discovered and think I may need a good jacket

Jensine, I don’t think I could survive winter without tweed!
I practically live in it.
A tweed jacket is a perfect investment because they last forever, are classics and can be dressed up or down.

Exactly Natasha!
I would love to actually own a Chanel tweed jacket but for now I’ll just be glad there are lots of options out there that look very similar. 🙂

In the Chanel store there was an amazing jacket in tweed with leather. It was incredible and for a moment there I dreamed if I had all the money in the world – would I buy it. Something so classical about tweed.

I agree, and even more so when it comes as Chanel! One of my dreams would be to have a tweed Chanel piece…maybe some day.

I’m beginning to love the look of tweed as well; I recently just bought a grey tweed skirt. It’s such a classic look, especially the “classic Chanel tweed jacket.”

Peggy, I be the grey skirt is beautiful!
I’m already thinking of how many different ways you could wear it and look amazing. 🙂

Aw, thank you Laura. You’re too sweet.
What are your personal favourite ways to wear tweed?
Warm Regards,

Peggy,
I just love tweed anyway, but I find that I like it as a classic silhouette with a twist most of all.
Which is why this look is a classic pencil skirt but wearing it with leather.
Another great way to wear it is with a white t-shirt and jacket – just enough dressy to look nice but still relaxed enough to be casual – so casual chic!
Cheers,
Laura
