As you’ll recall, yesterday was “Tweed Day” and as I have so much of it in my wardrobe it would be silly not to get trending and share with you Tweed My Way!
The Look: This skirt and shirt are two of my favourite pieces to wear. The pencil skirt was tailor-made in Hong Kong a couple of years ago and the shirt is from Target, also a couple of years ago. Whenever I wear them together, I get lots of compliments. Can’t wait to hear what you all think.
Tweed Jungle: I’m thinking this look proves that Tweed isn’t just for the country lifestyle. With my leopard print scarf tied as a mini-turban I’m thinking this is an urban jungle look. Okay, so maybe not quite urban jungle, but definitely more grown up than down on the farm.
The Accessories: And before you ask, yes, I am wearing fishnet stockings! I have them in a couple of shades of brown that I just love wearing with boots during the cooler months. Because they are brown they are a little more retro than hooker…at least I think so. I’m also wearing the rose-gold earrings and necklace I bought in September while hanging out in Melbourne for the Spring Fashion Festival. If you have been reading since my 2012 Lust-Have List, you will recognize the handbag.
How do you think I did with Tweed my way? Is it too much pattern mixing? Do you have a favourite item of tweed clothing?
