Southbank – Melbourne

As you all know, the Fashion Mister and I spent last weekend in Melbourne for his birthday. On Saturday night we met up with some friends, had dinner on Southbank and then went to see “Spiegleworld – Empire”. The show was fantastic! We all enjoyed it so much and said we would go back to see it again because it was so great. There were a couple of “bawdy” bits, so if you are delicate, I wouldn’t advice attending a Spiegelworld/spiegeltent type show, but you would really be missing out on some fantastic entertainment.

When we first got down to Melbourne on Saturday we wandered around for a while, taking in the fantastic lane-ways that Melbourne is so famous for and I couldn’t help doing a little bargain shopping. More about that another day! Then we checked into our hotel on Southbank and had a wander around the river-front.

It was such a gorgeous day in the city by the bay that we spent most of it walking around outside and along the river to be sure we could enjoy these last days of blue skies.

I was dressed pretty casual for the day, jeans and a camouflage t-shirt and my beloved wedge sneakers! I spent the whole day walking around in heels that truly felt like walking around in sneakers! Man I love these shoes!

We had also stopped at a very cool vintage shop called “Lost and Found”, where I purchased a wool/tweed blue shift dress and a VERY retro button-down shirt that I am looking forward to wearing with a pencil skirt.

Promise to share them with you as soon as possible. I also promise I will be making regular trips to “Lost and Found” to do vintage shopping. Two floors of a large building, packed with vintage clothing, jewelry and accessories. I passed on a purple leather pencil skirt, that I’m kind of wishing I had bought!
