I know those of you in the Northern Hemisphere have already celebrated the arrival of Spring and done the daylight savings thing. Here in the Southern Hemisphere…or at least in Australia…tonight we are going the other direction. It’s time for us to Fall Back, which means autumn is knocking on our door as we roll the clock back one hour tonight.
In all honesty, I’m not looking forward to it. I will grumble constantly about the shorter days and start counting down to the winter solstice when the days will start becoming longer. I don’t know if it’s an age and hormone thing or if it’s a being thinner thing but I really “FEEL” the cold…and I don’t like it!
Right now I am feeling extremely jealous of you up north with your coming of Spring and Summer. I’m going to miss my great collection of open-toed shoes. I guess for a while I can wear them with socks and tights. After all, I did do a couple of posts about it. May as well walk the walk and walk in those shoes so to speak.
Even though Emerald Green is not my thing, Pantone certainly has highlighted a number of great colours for me to embrace with the coming cold. In fact, I already have quite a bit of the rest of the Fall 2013 Color Report colors in my wardrobe. Not that it will keep me from finding some new items this winter!
Guess I’ll go change the clocks, tuck myself in and dream of shopping…and Spring. In other words, Fall Back to my standard winter routine!

Thanks for the reminder about the clocks. Also the colours look like my wardrobe already, can’t complain about that.

Same here Portia…except the emerald green. 🙂
Extra sleep tonight or extra play time!
I think since we are headed to the city this weekend it will be play!

It’s sunny and 55 degrees in New England today! Furrylittlegnome’s color palate will become brighter soon!

55! It’s warming up then. 🙂
I think I will still need a bit of colour for autumn and winter, it just won’t be quite as bright as the summer has been.
Cheers,
Laura

Well I certainly think they are spring appropriate!
So I say go for it. 🙂

whoa. imagine MEE in touch w/my inner fashinista. when i’m toadully @ the mercy of “B” who goes absolute blank-brain-bonkers when she seez me wear stripes with, uh spots.
HOWEVER: you lamenting (tho’ i presume yer naught teeth-gnashing nor REALLY lamenting) the FALL BACK phenomenon — we are literally on opposite sigheds ov the spinning bawl, Rn’t we? i am not-exactly reveling but appreciate the longer daze and, especially, not having to drive to work and home in the total dark! among other things. perhaps i’ll think of you (and the other south-of-EEK-weightor people) when, again, we switch cycles again.

The “cold” thing is, sadly, a side effect of age because I’m far from thin and I feel the cold more with every passing year. I’ve never tolerated extreme heat well, either, so now I just can’t win LOL.
I am loving that color palette! I’ll start planning now 😉

Alicia, I am finding that it’s getting far easier to tolerate the extreme heat.
We had the hottest summer in 102 years apparently but I only thought 2 days were hot!
